Canadienne

Discover your inner adventurer!

Its vintage appearance is reminiscent of old-fashioned camping, like the trappers of the Great Canadian North. Your children will love playing Davy Crockett.

In the Canadienne you’ll rediscover all the charm of wilderness camping with the comforts of home: shower, toilet, fully-equipped kitchen and wood-burning stove in some tents (for use in April or May).

This 28 m² ready-to-camp tent is erected on piles, with a wooden floor. The canvas covering is 100% waterproof.

A living room and kitchen:

Table and chairs, sink, 50L mini gas fridge, 2 burner gas stove.

Crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils:

forks, knives, tablespoons, teaspoons, wooden spatula, peeler, can opener, corkscrew, grater, skimmer, ladle, flat plates, soup plates, dessert plates, glasses, stemware, cups, mugs, bowls, pot, pan, saucepans, salad spinner, colander, airtight box, trivet, cutting board…

Matches, sponge, washing-up liquid, broom and mop, household products, Italian coffee maker (think ground coffee!),

Two lounge chairs, gas barbecue.

Two bedrooms with pillows, duvets and fleece blankets:

A bedroom with a double bed (140 × 200 cm),
A bedroom with two singles beds (80 x 190 cm).

Before packing your bags, a few tips to make the most of your stay in the bivouac …

The ideal is to travel light, with handy luggage (the large suitcase on wheels is not the most suitable!) And outfits suitable for the countryside.

Don’t forget to take with you, in all seasons:

  • your mobile phone charged,
  • your fitted sheets, duvet covers and pillow cases if you have not taken the sheets option,
  • a led camping lantern
  • slippers for the inside of the tent
  • a headlamp for the curious who wish to move around at dusk,
    tea towels
  • 30l trash bags
  • toilet paper (1 roll is provided).

In summer, we recommend that you bring:

  • an umbrella,
  • a beach tent for the little ones’ nap (because it can get very hot in the tent),
  • shoes that can go in the water (for the river),
  • a fleece (sometimes some evenings are cool),
  • good pajamas for children who discover themselves while sleeping 😉

In low season, consider:

  • a fleece sleeping bag with long sleeves for the youngest,
  • some warm and rainy clothes.

Bivouac nature welcomes mostly families, and even more so in summer! Our tents are suitable for welcoming children, a dream holiday for little adventurers.

Families appreciate this car-free site, nature with its furnished bivouac, nearby activities, swimming spots and short walks …

However, with infants, we advise you to avoid the period of April and its cool nights and very hot summer.

Finally, support and increased surveillance will be necessary for our young guests who are crawling.

Innovation and respect for environmental constraints:

  • French-made tents
  • accommodation anchored to the ground by stilts (therefore removable)
  • solar panel lighting
  • no wifi
  • water flow regulator
  • wood stove
  • composter on site
  • pedestrian site

Terms and conditions

Pets are not accepted on the site.

This is a hot topic, we realize. The question is not to like them or not, we have nothing against dogs or cats. But as nice as they are, if we want to preserve the wildlife present on the site (deer in the meadow, hares, hedgehogs under the floor of certain tents, wild boars, foxes, squirrels, badgers and all the birds since we are an LPO refuge. ), we owe it to ourselves to refuse them.

To take care of your furry friend during your stay, why not go through a babysitting site? For example, you can visit this site: http://rover.com/fr to find a holiday home near you or near us.

Thank you for your understanding.
